Pengembangan dan validasi instrumen body dysmorphic disorder mahasiswa

Abstract


Tubuh yang "sempurna" telah menjadi identik dengan kemakmuran di masyarakat yang serba cepat saat ini yang mengedepankan penampilan yang lebih menarik, namun yang terjadi banyak mahasiswa yang stress dan depresi dengan kondisi tubuhnya karena munculnya kerutan dan lemak di tubuh akibat dari kurang tidur. Untuk itu, diperlukan asesmen yang berfungsi sebagai upaya mengidentifikasi masalah Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangakan instrument BDD yang valid dan reliabel pada mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 97 mahasiswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik insidental sampling. Pengujian validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Product Moment Pearson sedangkan pada uji reliabilitas digunakan dengan menggunakan teknik Alpha Chronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instrumen Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) valid dan reliabel untuk melakukan pengukuran kecemasan terhadap fisik. Diharapkan untuk hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan oleh pekerja social (konselor, terapis, dan psikolog) dalam mengungkap masalah kecemasan terhadap kondisi fisik mahasiswa, dan dapat memberikan intervensi awal sebelum siswa mengalami kecemasan terhadap fisik yang lebih berat.
