About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Jurnal Konseling dan Pendidikan (JKP) publishes original research articles, reviews, and conceptual papers in the fields of education, social sciences, and humanities. The journal aims to provide a scholarly forum for the dissemination of knowledge, theoretical advancements, and practical innovations that contribute to academic and professional development across these disciplines.
The scope of JKP includes, but is not limited to:
- Guidance and counseling, mental health, and educational psychology.
- Teaching, learning, curriculum development, and assessment in diverse educational settings.
- Social, cultural, legal, and community studies with relevance to education, human development, and social transformation.
- Management and economic studies that intersect with education, social sciences, and humanities.
- Innovations in educational technology, digital media, and e-learning.
- Cross-disciplinary research that bridges education, social sciences, humanities, management, and economics.
- Policy analysis and critical perspectives on education, social sciences, economics, and human development.
JKP emphasizes works that are of local and international significance, encourages collaborative research among global scholars, and welcomes special issues on emerging and impactful themes within its scope.
Papers published in the quarterly journal:
(1) evaluation reports and research findings;
(2) conceptual and methodological issues; and/or
(3) implications of the above for action; and/or
(4) an extensive book reviews section and occasional reports on counseling, educational materials, and equipment.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to this journal (Jurnal Konseling dan Pendidikan) must follow Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must fulfil scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal.
All manuscrips submitted to this journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. We recommend that authors have their manuscripts checked by an English language native speaker before final approval of their submission; this will ensure that submissions are judged at peer review exclusively on academic merit. . The work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using a Turnitin software.
The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is blind review system.
Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief (together with Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers critical comments. The final decision of manuscript is solely based on the Editor and Editorial Board final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).
Publication of accepted articles including the assigning the article to published issue will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
