Abstract


Penggunaan internet di dunia pendidikan dapat membantu meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa, namun penggunaannya yang tak terkontrol dan berlebihan dapat menjadikan siswa kecanduan internet. Kecanduan internet dapat menurunkan prestasi akademik, kemampuan psiko-sosial, dan masalah psiko-emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan pengelolaan diri berbasis agama untuk mengurangi kecanduan internet melalui  eksperimental one group pre-test post-test design. Eksperimen dilakukan terhadap 16 siswa yang kecanduan internet dengan kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi. Tingkat kecanduan internet diungkap melalui kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari IADQ (Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionare) dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Paired T Test melalui SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan kecanduan internet yang signifikan sebesar 0.458 pada siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan pengelolaan diri berbasis agama. Meskipun efektivitasnya masih tergolong rendah (N-Gain = 0.2) atau N-Gain < 0.3, namun pelatihan pengelolaan diri berbasis agama dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kemauan untuk merubah perilaku dan dapat menurunkan kecanduan internet secara signifikan pada semua siswa peserta pelatihan.
