Tingkat ketakutan akan kegagalan (atychiphobia) pada mahasiswa ditinjau dari usia, jenis kelamin dan urutan kelahiran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis atychiphobia pada mahasiswa berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin dan urutan kelahiran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 478 orang sampel dari seluruh mahasiswa di Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simpel random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah performance failure appraisal inventory (PFAI) dengan nilai reliabilitas cronbach alpha sebesar 0,946. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa atychiphobia pada mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang. Atychiphobia pada laki-laki lebih tinggi dibandingkan perempuan dengan rentang usia paling banyak mengalami atychiphobia adalah 21 s.d 24 tahun dan berdasarkan urutan kelahiran didapatkan bahwa anak ke-5 lebih rentang mengalami atychiphobia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya upaya komprehensif bagi konselor di perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait untuk menyusun rencana pelayanan konseling untuk mereduksi atychiphobia pada mahasiswa.
